1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern purchases made through the Bookendry website at https://www.bookendry.com.
Bookendry is a brand operated by FORTH OFFICE SUPPLIES LIMITED, a company registered in Scotland, United Kingdom. These Terms set out the conditions applicable to product listings, orders, payments, delivery, cancellations, returns, refunds and related matters.
By placing an order through our website, you agree to the contractual terms applicable to that purchase. Before completing your order, please review these Terms, the relevant product information, the total price and the applicable delivery details.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

Bookendry is the trading brand through which FORTH OFFICE SUPPLIES LIMITED offers stationery and office supplies to customers.
3. Products and Product Information
Bookendry offers desktop stationery and document organisation products, including bookends, document trays, pen holders and folders.
Product descriptions, images, specifications, available options and prices are displayed on the relevant product pages. Customers should review the information provided before placing an order.
We take reasonable care when preparing product descriptions and displaying product images. Images are intended to illustrate the relevant products, although minor differences in colour or appearance may occur due to screen settings or viewing conditions.
Such differences do not affect any applicable statutory rights where goods fail to conform to their description or contract.
We may update product listings, availability and pricing from time to time. Any changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted, except where a change is agreed with the customer or otherwise permitted by law.
4. Orders and Contract Formation
Customers must provide accurate contact information, billing details and delivery information when placing an order.
After an order is submitted, an order acknowledgement may be sent to the email address provided at checkout. An acknowledgement confirms receipt of the order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance.
A sales contract is formed when we accept the order, ordinarily by sending an order confirmation or otherwise clearly communicating acceptance.
If we are unable to fulfil an order, we will inform the customer and refund any payment received for the unfulfilled order, where applicable.
Where a material error affects a product listing, price or order detail, we will contact the customer to resolve the matter in accordance with applicable law. We will not unilaterally change an accepted contract where such a change is not legally permitted.
5. Prices and Payments
Prices are displayed on the relevant product pages and during checkout. The total payable amount, including applicable delivery charges and taxes where required, will be shown before the customer submits the order.
Payments are processed through Stripe, our payment processor. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.
Customers must provide accurate information required to complete a transaction. An order may remain unprocessed while a payment is pending or where additional information is reasonably required to resolve a transaction issue.
If a payment cannot be completed, the order may not proceed until the payment issue has been resolved.
Refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method, subject to applicable law and the relevant payment arrangements.
6. Delivery and Shipping
6.1 Delivery Destinations
Bookendry serves customers in eligible European destinations. Available delivery destinations, applicable charges and delivery options are displayed during the ordering process.
Delivery availability may depend on the destination address and the services available for that location.
6.2 Delivery Services and Estimated Timeframes
We work with established carriers, including DHL, FedEx and UPS Priority services, as appropriate to the order and destination.
For orders dispatched from the United Kingdom, the estimated delivery timeframe is generally 5–12 business days. This is an estimate rather than a fixed delivery date. Actual delivery may vary according to the destination, carrier operations, customs procedures where applicable and other circumstances affecting transit.
Any delivery estimate specifically displayed during checkout or agreed in writing for an order will be considered when determining the applicable delivery arrangement.
Where a particular delivery date is essential, the customer should contact us before placing the order to discuss the available arrangements.
6.3 Dispatch and Tracking Notifications
We will use the email address supplied at checkout to send available order and delivery updates.
Where supported by the relevant carrier and order system, notifications may be sent at key stages, including:
- Order dispatch.
- Arrival at a carrier facility or other recorded transit point.
- Local delivery or an out-for-delivery stage.
- Availability of tracking information or significant tracking updates.
The timing and availability of individual notifications depend on the information supplied by the relevant carrier and the services used for the order.
Customers should check their email inbox, including junk or spam folders, and contact us if they require assistance locating their order information.
6.4 Delayed Deliveries
If an order has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe, customers should contact us at desk@bookendry.com with their order reference.
We will review the available tracking information and, where appropriate, open an enquiry with the carrier to investigate the delay or determine the status of the shipment.
Following the investigation, we will assess the circumstances and the available information to determine an appropriate resolution. Depending on the findings and the applicable contractual and legal requirements, this may include arranging a replacement or issuing a full refund.
Any statutory rights relating to delayed or non-delivered goods remain unaffected. Where delivery has not taken place within the agreed period, or within the legally applicable period, customers may have additional remedies under the relevant law.
6.5 Responsibility for Loss or Damage in Transit
For consumer purchases subject to applicable UK or EU consumer law, the risk of loss of or damage to goods remains with us until the consumer, or a person nominated by the consumer other than the carrier, physically receives the goods.
Handing a parcel to a carrier does not, by itself, transfer the risk of loss or damage to the consumer.
Where the consumer independently commissions a carrier that we did not offer, the applicable legal rules may differ. Any such arrangement will be assessed in accordance with the law governing the transaction.
7. Cancellations Before Dispatch
Customers who wish to cancel an order before dispatch should contact desk@bookendry.com as soon as possible and provide the order reference.
We will review the request and confirm whether the order can be cancelled before dispatch.
If the order has already been dispatched, the customer’s statutory cancellation rights and the Returns and Refunds provisions below will apply where relevant.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation right available under applicable law.
8. Right of Withdrawal: 14-Day Cancellation Period
8.1 Right to Withdraw
For consumer purchases covered by the applicable distance-selling rules in the United Kingdom or European Union, the customer generally has the right to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods.
For an order containing multiple goods delivered separately, or goods delivered in multiple lots or pieces, the applicable withdrawal period is calculated in accordance with the relevant legal requirements.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must inform us of the decision to cancel through a clear statement sent to:
Email: desk@bookendry.com
The customer may use the model withdrawal wording set out below, but this is not compulsory.
8.2 Model Withdrawal Statement
To: FORTH OFFICE SUPPLIES LIMITED, trading as Bookendry
Email: desk@bookendry.com
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale for the following goods:
- Order number:
- Goods ordered:
- Date ordered:
- Date received:
- Customer name:
- Customer address:
- Date of withdrawal request:
8.3 Returning Goods After Withdrawal
After notifying us of withdrawal, the customer must send the goods back within 14 days of communicating the withdrawal, unless we have agreed otherwise or applicable law provides differently.
Goods should be returned in a condition that allows their nature, characteristics and functioning to be examined. Customers may handle goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature and characteristics, as they would in a shop.
A customer may be liable for a reduction in the value of goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, where permitted by applicable law.
Please contact desk@bookendry.com before returning an order to obtain the appropriate return instructions and address.
Unless we have agreed to bear the cost or applicable law requires otherwise, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind withdrawal. Any applicable return-cost information will be provided as required by law.
8.4 Refunds Following Withdrawal
Where a valid withdrawal is exercised, we will refund the payments covered by the withdrawal, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where required by law.
We will issue the refund without undue delay and within the statutory period applicable to the transaction. Ordinarily, this is within 14 days of being informed of the withdrawal.
Where the law permits, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or the customer has supplied evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will ordinarily be made using the original payment method unless the customer expressly agrees otherwise and the arrangement is lawful. The customer will not incur a refund fee from us for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.
8.5 Exceptions
The right of withdrawal is subject to the exceptions provided by applicable law. Any exception will be applied only where the relevant legal conditions are met.
Nothing in this section restricts a customer’s separate rights where goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
9. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods
We aim to address reports of damaged, faulty or incorrect goods promptly and fairly.
If an order arrives damaged, a product appears faulty, or the goods received do not match the order, please contact desk@bookendry.com and include:
- Your order reference.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs showing the relevant damage, fault or incorrect item, where available.
Photographs can help us assess the issue and determine the appropriate next steps.
Where the issue can reasonably be established from the photographs and order information, we may resolve the matter without requiring the customer to return the affected item. Depending on the circumstances, the resolution may include a full refund or a replacement.
If further examination or information is reasonably required, we will explain the next steps. Any request to return an item, and the allocation of associated costs, will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
Where a product does not conform to the contract, the customer’s statutory rights may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund, depending on the applicable legal requirements and circumstances. We will not make photographic evidence or the absence of a returned item an absolute condition for exercising a statutory remedy where the law does not permit such a condition.
Customers should report the issue as soon as reasonably practicable so that we can review the relevant details. This request does not shorten or replace any statutory time limit.
10. Returns and Refunds: General Conditions
All returns and refunds will be handled in accordance with the relevant order terms and applicable consumer protection legislation.
Before returning goods, customers should contact desk@bookendry.com to obtain instructions and the appropriate return address.
Where a refund is approved, we will confirm the relevant arrangements and ordinarily return the payment to the original payment method.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment method and the relevant financial institution after we have initiated the refund.
Nothing in this section excludes statutory remedies for faulty, damaged, misdescribed or non-delivered goods.
11. Product Availability and Order Changes
Product availability may change over time. If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been accepted and we cannot fulfil the contract, we will inform the customer and arrange an appropriate resolution, including a refund for the affected unfulfilled goods where applicable.
Any proposed substitution, change to the order or alternative arrangement will be subject to the customer’s agreement where required by law.
We will not treat a customer’s failure to respond to a proposed change as acceptance where affirmative agreement is legally required.
12. Acceptable Use of the Website
Customers may use the website for lawful browsing, enquiries and purchases.
Customers must not:
- Submit information they know to be false or materially misleading.
- Attempt to interfere with the normal operation of the website or its ordering functions.
- Use the website in connection with unlawful activity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, order information or restricted areas.
- Submit orders using payment or personal information they are not authorised to use.
- Use the website in a manner that infringes applicable law or the rights of others.
Where misuse is identified, we may take proportionate steps permitted by law, including reviewing or declining an order where there are reasonable grounds to do so. Any such action will be assessed in accordance with the relevant circumstances and applicable legal obligations.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
Subject to that principle, we are responsible for losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to exercise the care required by law.
We are not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control where applicable law permits such responsibility to be limited. Where such circumstances affect an order, we will consider the circumstances and the remedies required by law.
We do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in this section restricts a consumer’s statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
14. Privacy and Personal Data
Personal data supplied during browsing, ordering, payment and customer service communications is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We use relevant information to administer orders, arrange delivery, process payments, respond to enquiries and meet applicable legal obligations.
Our payment processor, Stripe, processes relevant payment information in connection with transactions made through the website. Further information about personal data, retention periods, recipients and individual rights is available in our Privacy Policy.
15. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Customers who have a concern about an order or our services should contact:
Email: desk@bookendry.com
Telephone: +44 1592591999
Please include the order reference and a clear description of the issue so that we can review the matter.
We will assess complaints based on the relevant order information, communications and applicable terms. Where appropriate, we will discuss a reasonable resolution with the customer.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from contacting a relevant supervisory or consumer protection authority, using an available lawful dispute resolution procedure, or bringing a claim before a competent court.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply to the relevant transaction.
Where a customer resides in another country and mandatory rules of that country apply to the purchase, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive that customer of protections that cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement.
Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts having jurisdiction under the applicable legal rules. Nothing in this section removes a consumer’s right to bring proceedings in a court where applicable law permits or requires that right.
17. Amendments to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to our business operations, website functions or applicable legal requirements.
The current version will be published on this page with its revision date. Updated Terms will apply to new orders placed after publication, unless applicable law requires a different approach.
The terms applicable to an accepted order will not be changed retrospectively without a lawful basis or the agreement required by law.
18. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Any affected provision will be interpreted or applied only to the extent permitted by applicable law. This section does not authorise the exclusion of a statutory right or remedy that must remain available to a consumer.
